Puxi Grade 3-4： Opening Ceremony

The new semester started again with the morning sunshine on the colorful balloons in Primary School building lobby, and on the children’s lovely smiley faces. Through the summer vacation, the kids have been growing taller, and getting tanned. And it seems like they are getting a little bit more mature.

During the second class on the morning of September 1st was the opening ceremony for teachers and students of Grade 3 and Grade 4. After the first period of class, teachers brought their students to the 4th floor auditorium, sitting down nicely in order. The video screened in the auditorium showed us all some of the precious memories of last year. Familiar faces and the activities they’ve experienced together made them smile understandingly.

The opening ceremony started. Principle Liu Lian of SHSID’s Middle School and Primary Section and Director Bao Guohong of the Primary Section gave a speech to all the teachers and students of Grade 3 and Grade 4. Next, Qingmo from Class 3(2) and Rosa from Class 4(4) shared some of their experiences from last year. Their wonderful speech brought us joy and enlightenment.

Then came the exciting award ceremony. Teachers announced the “Ten Stars” of 3rd and 4th grades. Director Bao announced the “Excellent Class” results of last semester. The prize-winners were really proud of themselves. The excellent classes were also proud of the efforts they’ve put on last year. At the very first day of the new semester, the students learned about their collective sense of honor, and also learned about the law of sowing and reaping. We believe that in this new school year, all the children will achieve their own goals!

The opening ceremony means a brand-new start. Every student and teacher will move ahead with new goals, new hopes and a heart full confidence.
