Grade 9: Project Based Learning lecture

On the Tuesday afternoon of the second school week, students of Grade 9 went to the Annex auditorium of the Xianmian building for a lecture on Project based learning. Mr Liao Hui first introduced the program to all students. The project-based learning course comes in two levels: Standard Level and Challenge Level, both of which provide students an opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge, hands-on skills, and scientific thinking. Ms Liu Shan, Chen Qin, Gu Yin and Mr Sun Hao gave lectures based on Math, Physics, Biology and Chemistry respectively. Students are required to complete a process of “Scientific inquiry”, starting from the topic research, mid-term report, laboratory research, conclusion introduction and presentation through the course.
