Opening Ceremony for Grades 11-12

On the afternoon of August 31st, the opening ceremony for G11-12 was held in the grand auditorium. The ceremony was hosted by Director Liu. To kick it off, Principal Ma addressed the students by introducing the new facilities in the Xianmian Building and online data resources provided to students. He encouraged students to make good use of these resources and develop their specialties well. Next, Director Liu announced the great achievements of the Class of 2017, both in terms of activities and college applications. She also emphasized the most important school rules that students should follow. Then Ms. Gu Ying expressed her expectations and wishes for the Grade 12 students in her speech. After that, Ms. Wu Chen welcomed the new Grade 11 students and gave them genuine study tips. Five student representatives, Sophia She from 12(8), Tzeng Wen-Hsin from 11(8), Yamane Takayasu from 11(1), Jenny Wang from 12(1) and Esther Cheung from 11(6) shared their vision for the new school year. Finally, Director Liu awarded the homerooms for excellent performance, and then Ms. Gu Ying and Ms. Wu Chen announced the list of students who won scholarships and honors. With the students’ enthusiasm towards this brand new semester, the opening ceremony seemed to be opening up a new season of splendidness.
