Teachers’ training: Brand new experience using new electronic whiteboards

A new look to kick off the new semester! With enormous support from all the departments in Shanghai High School International Division, Xianmian Building takes on a brand-new look for teachers and students after being upgraded during the summer. Among all the changes, the most exciting one should be the new electronic whiteboard in every classroom. To familiarize teachers with how to use of these whiteboards and how to integrate them into classroom teaching, the school held two sessions of teachers’ training on August 30th, 9am to 10am and 1pm to 2pm.

During this training, the most frequently used functions were introduced in detail, with both an instructor’s demonstration, as well as an ongoing Q&A, so that teachers could grasp an understanding of the various functions of the whiteboards. The teachers also gained an understanding about some advanced “fun time” with the four types of embedded software. After the training, teachers went to their classrooms and experimented with the whiteboards with great interest.

Hopefully the new semester will bring our students brand new learning experiences as well!
