The economic department: first faculty meeting of the new school year

On the afternoon of August 28th, Ms. Zhang Li, head of the Economics department, held the first faculty meeting of the new school year.

First, the whole Economics team welcomed Andrew, a new teacher who joined the department this year. He is from Canada and will teach G9 and G10 Economics classes. Later, the meeting discussed the school visit for AdvancED certification. All the teachers put great emphasis on it and will be well-prepared for it. In order to improve the teaching of different subjects and different levels, the department will hold meetings regularly to let the teachers learn and share different teaching methods. The teachers divided the work of coaching students for Economics and Business competitions between different team members with one teacher being responsible for one competition. In this way, it would be more efficient to manage the coaching of students and it would also be beneficial for teachers to improve their abilities.
