Foreign Teachers’ End of Semester Summary Meeting

Jun 30th is always a special day at SHSID: it is the very final moment before the foreign teachers’ summer holidays commence. But before everyone can run off, it’s time for a meeting.

FAO leader Helen Hu slightly altered the format for this year’s 2016-7 summary meeting, to create an atmosphere where staff would feel more connected and involved. She invited all leaving and returning teachers, and asked various group leaders to present and summarise their achievements, the challenges they have faced, and any inspirational moments that came to pass over the past academic year.Speakers from each section discussed the content of their courses and the adjustments they have made to them, while others focused on teamwork, community, and the human aspect of teaching.

Helen rounded off the meeting by declaring: sometimes a winner is a loser who tried one more time. On behalf of the school, hope you all a great vacation! End with a wish from lion king: Hakuna Matata !
