High School Math Sharing Session
High School Math Sharing Session
On the noon of June 15th, the SHSID High School Math faculty had quite a fruitful sharing session in Room 205 of the Xianmian Building. The seminar leaders summarized the semester and gave presentations on various topics. Firstly, Ms. Ding Yi shared the research conclusions of her data analysis. She and others used the approach of classification and aggregation to analyze students’ Math capabilities, language capabilities and learning abilities, which shows how reasonable it is to promote teaching by level. Secondly, Mr. Hong Miao shared some newly prepared courses and pointed out the necessity to develop a more project-based Math course. Thirdly, Ms. Wu Chen summarized her group’s opinions about formative assessment and analyzed its advantages and importance. The last one to share was Ms. Zhao Weixia. Having conducted a comparative study of high school Math textbooks in China and abroad, she and her team members are submitting their findings for publication. In the end, Ms. Liu Shan summarized the results of all the seminar groups and pointed out that SHSID teachers can make full use of the resources and platforms the school is providing to conduct research and publish results.
