Pudong Grade 5: Poetry Competition First Round

During week 17, all the English classes throughout the school participated in a poetry competition. Grade 5 created diamanté poems and presented them during Friday morning P&B. Diamanté poems begin with one word, the next line has two words and so on until the lines get one word smaller on each line and ends with one word on the final line. This type of poetry can be hard because it is difficult to make sure the poem has good rhythm. Accomplishing this takes a high level of English ability. We have two students as the finalists for each class and we can't wait to see who wins for Grade 5!
