Puxi Grade 3: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Nowadays, we are facing an increasing amount of trash. To solve this problem, the environmental concept of the 3 Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) has been put forward at SHSID.

This month, Puxi’s third graders have been learning about the 3 Rs in Science class. They were required to work in groups to use waste cartons, plastic bottles and waste paper to make inventions and present them in front of the whole class. Students used their imagination to the full. They invented a lot of creative things such as junk deliverers, changers, a playground and so on. During the process of group collaboration, they not only had fun, but also gained a better understanding of the 3 Rs.

Environmental protection requires a concerted effort from each individual. We hope that our kids can become more attached to the environment through these activities, bring the 3 Rs into their daily life, and make a big joint effort to protect the earth!
