Grade 11: Historical Newscast Project Award Ceremony

On June 6th, the 11th grade students who chose to study History courses (including United States Overview, Western Civilization I and Chinese History) attended the Historical Newscast Project Award Ceremony at the annex auditorium of the Xian Mian Building. For the project, the students were assigned to newsgroups of 5-6 students and required to write, perform, film and present an approximately 5-8 minute newscast based on historical events. The newscast was supposed to have the segments like breaking news, on-scene reports, international reports and a wrap-up. Students are encouraged to cooperate with each other and compete for 5 Group Prizes including Best Overall Newscast, Best Reporter, Best Research and Content, Best Props and Creative Design.

All the present students watched the 5 winning works which covered areas like the history of the Three Kingdoms of ancient China, ancient Roman history, and US history. All the teachers and students were impressed by their careful research, excellent performances and skilled editing.
