Grade 6: Excellent Talent Show

The lights dimmed……the audience applauded...and the hosts of the show stepped onto the stage. It was the start of the Open Day Talent Show, and the audience was about to see a beautiful array of performances by the 5th and 6th grades.

A few minutes later, the performances started. Lights danced across the stage, and the first performer, Charlie from 6(6), sat down in front of a piano and began to play. Many other performances followed, which were all given tumultuous applause from the audience.

After some traditional Chinese dancing performances by 5th grade, the Drama Club's play, the Musical Club's song, and several other performances, the 6th grade students performed an energetic dance, ‘Legend’, which won 2nd Prize from the judges. Soon, the Talent Show was halfway done. Students whose performances were next peered nervously around from backstage while the lights flashed and whirled, lighting up the smiling faces of both the audience and the performers.

Individual performances, like Amberly's gymnastics routine and Catie's singing performance, were also appreciated by the audience, and the hosts of the Talent Show introduced each while joking and talking to the audience. Parents there recorded the performance while smiling.

The hosts walked onto the stage again, this time to bring the Talent Show to a close. The Wind Ensemble performed their song, 'Dance of Youth', and the Talent Show ended on a cheerful note. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Talent Show this time. Parents and students alike will look forward to the Talent Show next year, no matter if they are going up to seventh grade or sixth grade... they will always have happy memories of this Talent Show.
