Grade 8: Field Trip - A Cherished Memory before Graduation

May 26th a cloudless sky marked eighth grade field trip to Gongqing forest park. This year, along with the call of the bullhorns and the excited shuffling, students of eighth grade once again gather to join in on a scavenger hunt and participate in various activities that will earn them prizes, but more importantly give them fun experiences throughout the day. This year, teachers made an upgrade: there are now five easy activities and five hard activities. Each team has to complete at least four from each to achieve success. These stations are located throughout the park, on a grassy field or near a rollercoaster ride (oh dear), and they encompass activities from bike riding to team building. All of these activities encourage students to go explore the park, and run around with their friends.

Other than the scavenger hunt, students obviously has free time to hang out with their friends. With the numerous rides and activities there, it is impossible for one to become bored. The rides are also perfect for summertime. There’s a water ride that dashes straight down with a splash, rides that allow students to play with water guns, rollercoasters that take your breath away, and so much more. We can always see our peers trying to encourage their friends to go on a ride, and also their expressions after taking it. Even if you are not a fan of rollercoasters, the shade of trees and green also offer a great experience. There are also many other activities to choose from, such as horse riding, archery, and other rides that aren’t as exhilarating but all the same enjoyable.

As the day comes to an end you can see tired students falling asleep on the bus ride back to school. It has surely been a great day for us all and it has left us with many memories to be cherished.
