Chemistry group meeting about the Project-based learning, PBL

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics- in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. In a world that’s becoming increasingly complex, it’s more important for youth to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to solve tough problems, gather and evaluate evidence, and make sense of information. To motivate and inspire students to excel in STEM subjects, the Chemistry group organized a workshop to discuss the program: Project-based Learning.

Assisting in effecting long-range improvements in Science and Engineering education and stimulating students’ life-long interest in science, the PBL are generally based on the design of projects and accomplishment of long-term research work. Teachers in the Chemistry group dedicated their own original ideas to this program.
