Middle School Science Carnival: Final Fantasy Comes to Life

SHSID’s annual Middle School science carnival has a history of eight years. Just as science and technology are always changing rapidly, our carnival has also been innovating.

In recent years, the middle school has introduced many creative courses, through which students not only experiencing innovation in class but have also been able to participate in many science competitions, where they achieve impressive results. This year, with a theme of ‘enlightening your mind’, our carnival will feature a showcase of various creative courses. All parents are warmly welcomed to this spectacular science carnival.

At the exhibition, students will be able tp observe biological experiments through a microscope, experience a future smart city on a sand table model, and build a Lego rubber band-powered trolley. There will be much more fantastic stuff to explore. You may have see a huge ferris wheel spinning, or a drone flying overhead; and even a special car making its grand entrance!

Will the eggs remain unbroken in the egg-dropping competition? How many soft drinks can be carried on a single piece of kraft paper? The two major puzzles that have been circulating among students in Grades 7 and 8 will also be answered at the science carnival!

More artistic students also won’t be disappointed. As science and technology can never flourish without a concern for the humanities, our carnival this time will also display the works of such creative courses as music composition, art and creative writing. Students will have the chance to use a computer to compose music, experience new painting techniques and try row haiku.

Unmanned aircraft, VR, 3D printing, intelligent machines, versing, composing, painting..... Science? Technology? Art? Literature? What the hell is this place?

This is the Science Carnival of SHSID’s Middle School! This is to enlighten your mind! On the afternoon of May the 25th, and only once per year! Aren’t you coming?
