SHSID Annual College Fair

On Saturday, May 5th, SHSID held its 2017 college fair at XMT, inviting colleges from various parts of the globe, including Bacconi University (Italy), Brown University (US), Duke University (US), Dartmouth College (US), Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne (Switzerland), ESSEC Business School (France), Fudan University (China), Glion Institute of Higher Education (Switzerland), IE University (Spain), Les Roche International School of Management (Switzerland), Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (US), NYU-Shanghai Campus (US), Ritsumeikan University (Japan), Savannah College of Art and Design (US), Seoul National University (South Korea), University of California – Los Angeles (US), University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign+Zhejiang University Dual Degree, University of Pennsylvania (US), University of Virginia (US), University of Hong Kong (China), Waseda University (Japan) and Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University (China). Admission directors and alumnis from respective schools held information sessions at individual classrooms, presenting their university’s campus life, departments, curricula, events and other areas. Students and parents engaged with the presenters by asking several thoughtful questions, and received informative responses. In addition, SHSID’s graduating seniors also hosted lectures in separate rooms, offering advices on application essays and general experiences of their recent application process. Overall, through the two and half hours, students gained a better understanding of a diversity of universities, and were left informed and more certain of their future paths.
