SHSID Students achieved great success in USAD Finals

SHSID Students achieved great success in USAD Finals

From April 14th to the 24th, 9 SHSID students went with Ms He Yiwei to Madison, the state capital of Wisconsin USA, for the USAD Finals. They were performed really successfully in this competition!

USAD stands for ‘United States Academic Decathlon’, which is one of the supreme academic competition platforms in the US. Its vision is to provide all students the opportunity to excel academically through team competition. Students who take part in this competition need to learn and compete in 10 different subjects, including Math, Economics, Science, Social Science, Art, Music, Language and Literature, essays, speeches and interviews.

This is the second time that SHSID students have participated in this competition, and this time, they made some great breakthroughs. In the previous USAD China competition, the whole team was awarded the first prize. In the US Finals, they ranked second overall. In addition, three students were also awarded medals in individual events.

Congratulations to these students! For them, taking part in the USAD competition was not only an unforgettable experience, but also in incredible chance to grow and develop their talents.
