Grade 9:Assembly-Activity Experience sharing from 9(6)

On the morning of May 10th, the students of ninth grade gathered in the Xianmian Auditorium, waiting for Benjamin from Class Six to give a speech about basketball. Benjamin first introduced us to his awesome teammates Patan, Johnny, Jeffery, Royce, Tim, and Kevin Lee. Benjamin and his team have played basketball in many competitions like the Junior NBA and performed really well. Next, Benjamin told us about the importance of persistence. He performed a pushup on stage and said: "Even one push-up a day is better than no push-up. Since if you do one push-up every day, you do 365 push-ups in all after one year. However, if no push-ups are being done, after one year, there are still no push-ups." Though it seems that there isn't any difference between one push-up and no push-up, one year later the one who do one push-up a day benefits. Benjamin also told us that practicing twice a week is not enough– you must practice every day, then you can make progress. At last, Benjamin told his acceptance to the eighth grade boys team and showed his respect to those tenth graders who still come to practice. Benjamin's humorous speech won great applause.
