Puxi Grade 3: Story Mom Pays a Visit

On May 11thPG class, story mom came to Puxi third graders’ class and shared the story The Rain Came Down.

During Personal Growth class on May 11th PG, the story moms came to the Puxi third graders’ classes and shared a story called ‘The Rain Came Down’.

"On Saturday morning, the rain came down. It made the chickens squawk."

But that was only the beginning. Before the sun came out again, the entire neighborhood was in an uproar. The owner of the beauty parlor squabbled with the barber, who argued with the painter, who had just accidentally bonked the barber on the head with his paint can. Then the baker unintentionally poked the pizza man in the nose with his umbrella, and they started quarreling. Soon, "the whole block was honking, yelling, bickering, and barking." There was no end in sight! …Until the rain stopped, the sun came out, the air smelled fresh and sweet, and a rainbow appeared. Then everyone in town ended up smiling and lending one another a hand.

This story tells students that storms may come in their life, but life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass– it’s about learning to dance in the rain.
