Grade 7: Chinese Speech Competition

Last week is an extremely competitive period, with two speech competitions in a row on the same week. The Chinese speech competition made a huge impression on teachers and students alike. Jaqueline, Anita, Joie, Eni, Nina, Anya, Oliver and Elina did a great job speaking in front of the huge crowd of Native Level Chinese seventh graders, confidently and without struggling. Everyone talked about a major event happening in the modern world– some tragic, but others positive and in support of justice. Some talked about the positive and negative impacts of internet language, some talked about the United Airlines incident, and somebody uncovered the darkness behind the denim jeans we wear every day. Everyone’s topics were creative, and everyone gave their best. Congratulations to Jaqueline and Anita for winning the first prize, Joie, Eni and Nina for winning second and Anya, Oliver and Elina for winning third, and well done to every for their awesome performances!
