Pudong Grade 5: Hand-made Insects-repelling Spray

The temperature keeps rising through May. With this increase, our plants in the organic farm at Pudong campus grew even faster. However, this means there are more insects as well and that is not good at all for the farm. In order to keep these insects away and be eco-friendly at the same time, our students made an organic insects-repellent spray during CAS class on May 11th. They mixed garlic, chili pepper and orange peel into their spray and filtered the solids after stirring. These hand-made sprays are truly organic and eco-friendly. We believe that our plants will grow very well under the care of our students.
