Puxi Grade 3: Science Project Weather Report

Recently, Puxi’s third graders learned something about weather in their Science class. They were required to make a video to report the weather of a city.

It’s not easy to be a weather reporter. First, they had to decide the city of the report. And then, they had to search for the weather through the Internet or television to know the real weather of their chosen city, including the temperature, air pressure, humidity and so on. After that, they also needed to give advice to the audience regarding clothing and transportation on the way to work.

According to these requirements, the students started to make their own weather report by themselves. Some students wore a suit, and nicely acted as the weather reporter in their video. Some students dressed up like the local people in the city and reported in their special funny way. Some students even used video app to report the real situation in front of a ‘real’ tornado. That’s amazing!

Having students make their own weather report was a way to help them master what they’ve learned in class. It was also aimed at practicing their oral presentation abilities through a subject-based project.
