ISS Program Certificate Awarding

On the afternoon of May 10th, Professor Trevor Hambley, Dean of Faculty of Sciencefrom the University of Sydney and Ms.Charmaine Valenzuela, International Programs Officer from the University of Sydney came to Shanghai High School International Division.

Upon their arrival, they received a warm welcome from Principal Ma Feng, SHSID High School Principal. Afterwards, the guests from the University of Sydney met the department leaders of science subjects at SHSID, and they shared and exchanged science education in Australia and China.

Four students, one from local division and three from international division, joined and shared their strong interest in science. These four students were sponsored to attend the ISS summer program in Sydney.Professor Hambleyhappily presented them the certificates.

The International Science School — the ISS — is an amazing, all-expenses-paid two weeks of science at the University of Sydney. Nearly 150 young students from Years 11 and 12, 120 of which are local Australian students and 30 of which are international students, will attend the upcoming program this year. Four students from our school will be the luckiest four high school students that are fully sponsored by the University of Sydney. Wish them an unforgettable international learning experience in the field of science!
