Puxi Grade 3: Geo Fair

On May 4th, Puxi’s third graders experienced a Geo Fair during Personal Growth class.

Prior to the Geo Fair, the third graders had studied a lot about different countries all over the world. Each class was required to represent a country, and introduce it to ‘tourists’ during the Geo Fair.

That afternoon, students in each class were divided into three groups and took turns touring the different countries. The first group stayed in their homeroom to act as hosts, and introduce their country to the ‘foreigners’. They would stamp a seal on foreigners’ passport. The other two groups would take their passports to visit other countries. Some students learned how to draw the flag of India. Some students learned to count numbers in Spanish. Some students tasted delicious Greek food, and some students even learned ancient Egypt words and turned themselves into a mummy!

What a fun Geo Fair! Its aim was to help students master what they learned in class and also let them experience different cultures from around the world.
