Primary and Middle School Foreign Teachers’ Team Building

The SHSID Primary and Middle School Foreign teachers came together for what turned out to be an epic competition on Friday, May 5, 2017. The annual team building event was put on by FAO and foreign teachers from the PE Department. Teachers were divided into teams of five or six and competed in various team building activities. Tug-of-War, Loop-De-Loop, and Rubber Band Saloon Shooting, where teams tried to knock off soda cans by shooting rubber bands at them, were among some of participants favorite activities. Each group competed against another at separate stations. Each time a team won, they received a point. The competition was unyielding as teachers all hoped the rain would hold off and a winner could be declared.

After a bit of confusion at the end of the activities, it seemed there was a four way tie. What a nail-biter! With further investigation, the undefeated team number seven consisting of Mr. Max, Mr. Patrick, Ms. Jue, Ms. Shannen, and Mr. Schmoker came out as champions. They held their green team ribbons high as they received their delicious cake roll prizes and celebrated the victory. Losing teams left the event with their heads held high and a heightened sense of camaraderie among coworkers and companions. All teachers are looking forward to the next team building event.
