8th Grade Karaoke Competition: A Cherished Memory before Graduation

Everyone in the world has a beautiful voice; there's no doubt in that, but some voices appeal more than others. Over time, our world has turned this into competitions about who has the best voice, or can sing a song better than anyone else. Some people were born for singing, some people do it as a hobby, and others don’t take it very seriously. It doesn't matter which category you fall in to, you can take part in this competition.

On April 27th, the 8th graders of SHSID had a fantastic karaoke competition. As the performers sang their songs, students in the crowd cheered, swayed their hands back and forth, and sang along with the performers. Looking at the performances, it was obvious that everyone had spent hours practicing for this very competition. Some singers were very passionate, some singers wanted to have fun on stage, and some were very serious. The excitement of performing could be easily heard from the voices of the performers– some more than others! Sweat droplets hit the floor as the judges tried to give the performers the most fair score possible. Nonetheless, it was still a fantastic and well-prepared event which made both the students of the crowd and performers end their day with some sort of joy produced by the event. The results have not come out yet, but it is no longer important. All the singers tried their best to bring us a musical treat and thus another beautiful memory before graduation is produced and will be cherished by all of us.
