Grade 11: Awarding Ceremony for Global Citizen Day

On April 27th, the student speakers finished their speeches. After that, there was an award ceremony for the Global Citizens Day. First, Certificates and awards of service hours were given out to the hardworking volunteers who sacrificed their own time to make sure everything was in order and greatly upheld the positive image of SHSID. Then followed the awarding of the nominated homeroom flags and GCD themed videos. Each class had a class theme to cover, including: courage, wisdom, peace, brightness, kindness, freedom, belief, power, passion, and inspiration. Each class prepared a short class video and flag based on the class theme. When the students went to Wusi Farm, they enjoyed the videos and used that flag. The student judges from each class graded the flags and videos, and certificates were given to the class representatives. At last, the two hosts were awarded for their excellent performance at Wusi Farm. Without their hard work, the activities wouldn’t have progressed so smoothly. Thanks you to the students for all the effort they put in to make our Global Citizen Day wonderful and memorable.
