Grade 11: Swimming Competition

On April 20th, SHSID held a swimming competition. All the contestants arrived at the swimming building during PE class and changed into their swimming gear. Some contestants were already swam lengths in the pool to warm up. Soon, the PE teacher called out names and assigned students their respective tracks. Contestant stood on their diving boards or went into the pool. And so the swimming competition began! The audience stood beside the pool and cheered as they watched on. The outcomes were more unpredictable than you would’ve thought, as being in the lead at first does not mean you will remain so. Finally as individual events ended, the most awaited teamwork part of the competition came: the relay. Each team was composed of four swimmers, and each swimmer completed a 25 meter length. The friendly swimming competition ended with congratulations from one contestant to another. Class 11(2) won the first place in the relay.
