Grade 8: The Super Intense Soccer Tournament Final
Grade 8: The Super Intense Soccer Tournament Final
Everyone in the 8th grade campus is waiting for the final round of the soccer tournament. Before the match, fans from both teams were excited and were talking about the final scores. Fans of class 8(8) said that 8(8) would win due to their chemistry and teamwork, while fans for 8(9) said that they were going to win because they had so many good players. On the 18th of April, the match started, and new SHSID champions were born. 8(8) were crushed by an unbelievable score of 6-0. Almost all the people watching the match was shocked. Congratulations to 8(9) for winning the 8th grade SHS soccer tournament.
During the first half of the match, 8(8) had many chances, and nearly scored a few goals. 8(9) and 8(8) were all putting in effort and they were trying hard. The score was still 0-0 by the first half. After 5 minutes of rest, the soccer players were ready to play. 8(9) scored a goal first, and later scored more by counterattacking 8(8)’s attacks. Later, 8(8)’s chemistry significantly decreased. Tim Kang, a core player of 8(8), got injured and had to be replaced by another player. The players of 8(8) were gradually getting more and more exhausted, until they couldn’t run. 8(8) made several mistakes in their half of the pitch, and their defense line was completely distorted. This resulted in several more goals by 8(9). At last, the final whistle was blown, and the score shocked the entire campus.
Later after the game, some of the players were interviewed. The goalie for 8(8), Vincent Chen, said that the score was unexpected and their team should have done way better. 8(9) players have also agreed with them. 8(8)’s mood was depressed and gloomy for a while. 8(9)’s team spirit was enormous. Finally, let us congratulate 8(9) for becoming the champions and show some sympathy towards the losing team!
