Puxi Grade 3: Geometric Shape World

In recent math classes, students learned basic shapes, such as circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, octagons, pentagons, hexagons, and heptagons. They also learned symmetry. To help them have a better understanding and good grasp of what they learned in class, students were required to use the basic shapes as abstract objects and to create artwork. They were allowed to draw, paint, or collage the shapes onto a certain background, and they were also permitted to vary the directions and angles of the shapes.

Encouraged to be imaginative as possible in the design, students created various kinds of artwork such as the ocean, rain forest, outer space, and a modern city. They applied what they learned in class in their artwork and enjoyed doing this math project. We hope the students can be aware of the fact that math is deeply related to our real life, and we hope they can fall in love it!
