Pudong Grade 5: Poetry Slam

This month in H Level English we did a poetry slam. Students wrote a limerick, a haiku, and a narrative poem all based off of one theme with a picture presented behind them while they performed for the class. After each poem, students gave each other 'snaps'– a common practice at real poetry slams where the audience snaps their fingers instead of clapping. All of the students did a great job and we have some budding poets in our classrooms!
