Puxi Grade 3: Field Trip to the Vanilla Garden and Vegetable Farm

On April 1st, the third graders went to the Vanilla Garden and Vegetable Farm located in Langxia, of Jinshan District. They had a wonderful day there.

It took one and an half hour’s ride to arrive there. Third graders first arrived at Yeyuan, where they became familiar with vanilla, and harvested some. They also planted mints and watched how to make essential oil soap. Yeyuan was filled with blooming trees and flowers. Ducks were swimming in the lake and pigeons were wandering on the roof. Kids also fed animals there. After lunch, they went to the vegetable farm, where they visited the farm’s assembly production line.

The students enjoyed themselves a lot on this field trip. They went back to school with their plants, soaps, and vegetables. As an old saying goes, a years’ plan starts in the spring. I hope we can seize the time and enjoy this hopeful and vibrant season!
