Puxi Grade 3: The Poetry of Spring

After the cold winter, spring has come. The warm wind, the unfrozen river, birds and butterflies are all dancing to welcome spring’s messages.

On Puxi campus, the Native level Chinese classes of Grade 3 wrote poetry about spring during Week 2. In class, they learned how to write a good poem by using rhyme and rhetoric, and finished their poems at home.

Recently, the students shared their poetry in the playground. With their eyes they observed the first few traces of spring; with their ears they heard the faint but sweet voice of spring; and finally they felt the pulse of nature in their hearts. They are eager to grow up with nature under the great bin sun!

Poetry is something that can make our life come alive. By writing poetry among other native Chinese speakers, our students learned to use a simple but magic way to express their feelings about the world they perceive with their eyes, ears and hearts. We think they must have a stronger feeling about the coming spring now!
