SHSID Attended Harvard Model UN Conference (China)

On March 16th, seven delegates and one assistant director from SHSID attended the eighth session of Harvard Model United Nations China, embarking on this long anticipated four-day journey. Representing the United Kingdom, delegates voiced their country stances and delivered their solutions in the Historical Security Council, the World Bank, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and the Disarmament and International Security Committee. Through extensive research and elaborate speeches, they debated, discussed with other committee members from Singapore, United States, Pakistan and various other International schools, overcame the many frustrations and unexpected, and produced coherent and thoughtful draft resolutions and directives. Aside from the three honorable mention awards, all delegates believed that this was an invaluable experience that stimulated their personal growth and cannot wait for future conferences to come.
