Grade 6: Participating in a Public Benefit Activity
Grade 6: Participating in a Public Benefit Activity
A charity event with the Chinese name ‘爱绿护绿、爱心传递’ , sponsored by such organizations as Shanghai STV, the Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group, the Shanghai Children’s Health Foundation, and the Shanghai Blood Management Office took place in the morning on March 18th, in a venue named Green Oriental Land. Shanghai High School International Division was specially invited as a supporting unit. Our delegation consisted of about 20 teachers, students and parents of the Sixth Grade. They came to the Oriental Land to donate 15,000¥ to the Special Fund of Congenital Heart Disease and Congenital Malformation of Shanghai Children’s Health Foundation by means of trees conservation, health riding and on-site blood donation. Under the project name ‘Love and Protect Green, Pass Love Forward’ donations were made to help children living in poor areas of mainland China to transfer to Shanghai Children's Hospital to receive surgical treatment, so that they can say goodbye to the illness and say hello to a healthy and happy life. Through diverse activities, the participants not only showed their affection, but also called for more people to help more poor sick children become health, re-establish their self-confidence and become hopeful about life!
