Grade 11: Volunteering Activity at Xingyu Preschool

On Friday March 17th, students from SHSID participated in a volunteering activity at Xingyu Preschool located near SHSID. The group consisted of six students led by Ms. Gu Ying. Setting off after the bell rang, the students walked for ten minutes to Xingyu Preschool, meeting with the preschool's teachers and faculty. The group then helped out in the preschool garden. The students divided into two groups, one of which planted strawberries and another that helped clean out the planting trays nearby. The students were assisted by the faculty of Xingyu and completed their tasks enthusiastically, having fun in the process as well. Overall, the volunteers found their experience at Xingyu to be educational and immersive, and look forward to their next volunteering experience at the Preschool.
