Pudong Grade 2: Little Fish in the Pool!
Pudong Grade 2: Little Fish in the Pool!
From the beginning of March the weather gradually warms up, and so more and more people go out and get more exercise. Well, the Grade 2 students from Pudong campus are in this group as well!
In order to advocate sportsmanship and encourage the kids to have more interest in sports, every month we have a variety of sports events in Pudong campus. So, we had our Swim Meet in the beginning of March.
Although we wear warm coats for the whole of winter, once in the swimming pool our kids are not afraid of the cold at all. They all looked like professional swimmers– athletic and energetic! These second graders are just 7 or 8 years old, so they don’t yet underestimated their own abilities. Once they put on their swimming kit, they quickly jumped into the pool like small flying fish in the ocean, paddling their arms and rushing to their destination as fast as possible! The boys were very dynamic in their freestyle, and the girls’ movements were gentle and pretty in backstroke and butterfly. One boy was waiting for his turn, quietly watching his opponents in the pool. He may have said to himself "Pfft, I can do better when it’s my turn!"
