Pudong Campus Grade 2:Dr.Seuss’ Week
Pudong Campus Grade 2:Dr.Seuss’ Week
Do you know who Dr. Seuss is?
No, you don’t?
If you don’t know that much about one of the most famous children’s writers ever, please come and have a look of how we celebrate his birthday in this week!
The 4th week in Pudong campus is now called Dr. Seuss Week, because we used the whole week to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. From March 6th to 10th, we hosted a week of fun activities. Every single day we had a different theme for that day’s activity. Can’t wait to see it, right?
Monday was the “Crazy Hat Day”. The kids tried their best to wear all kinds of weird hats to school. Some of them got their hats from stores, but some of them even made new hats with their own hands. All the hats were so crazy and funny!
Tuesday was the “Twisted Clothes Day”. The kids needed to wear miss-matched clothes to school. There was a boy who wore his underpants outside his trousers– he looked like a funny “superman” to his classmates. He was definitely an icon that day.
Wednesday was the “Twins Day”. As you may know, some kids like to wear the same clothes as their friends and pretend to be like twins. They were so happy about this, because they all got one more brother or sister in just one day.
Thursday was the “Wacky Socks Day”. You could definitely see all kinds of weird socks had been worn to school. Our campus looked like a “socks museum” on Thursday.
Friday was the last day of Dr. Seuss Week, but also the day that all kids most looked forward to. It was the “Pajamas Day”. The kids didn’t even need to change their clothes before school. They could just come in wearing their pajamas. They said it was so comfy to wear pajamas in class. But you can only experience this during Dr. Seuss Week.
In the whole Dr. Seuss week, the kids had a lot of fun during these creative activities. We had a cake in the end to celebrate the birthday of this great writer, Dr. Seuss!
