Puxi Grade 4: The Biggest House in the World by Story Mom

Story Moms came to our Grade 4 classrooms this week. They brought us a thought-provoking story,The Biggest House in the World, written by Leo Lionni. A young snail dreamed of having the biggest house in the world. Then one day, his wise father told him the story of another snail with the same dream. He grew and grew, adding bright colors and beautiful designs, until he found that his house came at a terrible cost. At this time, this little snail realized that a big house might be a disaster for him. So he decided that a small, easy-to-carry shell might be best for a life of adventure and exploration. This is a simple story with a great message. It tells children how to survive without having the biggest and best of things. We all enjoyed it very much!
