Grades 9-10:PTSA meeting

On March 10th, the PTSA members from 9th and 10th grade gathered in Room 127 of the Zhongxing Building Annex to attend the first PTSA meeting of the new semester. As the host of the meeting, Director Liu started by talking about the changes in some course arrangements, to let the parents have a better understanding of the school’s course system. For example, students will now have a chance to take AP World History, and AP Chinese in 10th grade. An A-Level course is now open to all students in 11th grade. The new optional course, Curling, attracted many students. Ms. Liu encouraged parents to communicate more often with their children, especially when they are making decisions regarding their elective courses.

Later, Ms. Liu told the parents more about this semester’s activities, course days and career days, the TA office, the PA program and the STEM Wechat public account, etc. Then Ms. Liu gave suggestions for the standard tests and detailed policies for scholarship. The parents exchanged their opinions about the school’s courses and activities. All parents learned more about the new semester’s arrangement and expect to continue to communicate well with each other in the next meeting.
