Grades 7-8: New Semester Starts!

With the winter vacation ending and the new semester starting, both Grade 7 and 8 students attended the opening ceremony. As the ceremony began, student representatives from both grades shared their experiences of social activities, such as 8th grade service learning. In this activity students learned how to care about the people around us who need help, and to be willing to help solve their problems. One of the representatives from Grade 8 also shared her personal experiences of how to manage one’s study time and deal with procrastination. After the speech, Mr Ni encouraged us to study hard and praised the excellent students who have won awards and earned honor for SHSID. Principal Liu also advised on how to make use of our freedom and responsibilities during study. Finally, Ms Yan and Mr Shen announced the names of students who displayed all kinds of excellent behaviors during the first semester, such as: Star of Study, Star of Activities, Star of Talents, etc, and sent out the certificate awards. The honorable students all went up confidently, with passionate applause and cheers from the audience. Good luck everyone!
