Middle School: Opening Ceremony

On February 16th, SHSID’s 7th to 8th grade students gathered in the auditorium for the opening ceremony, to begin fresh new school semester.

With a roar of applause and an announcement from Mr. Ni, the opening ceremony started. First, three student representatives made a speech. Wendy from 8(3) shared with us how to study efficiently and successfully– good time management and no procrastination. 8(6) student Grace shared her thoughts about extracurricular activities, as well as what service learning gives to her.

Mr. Ni, director of middle school, made a speech then, praising the excellent performance of USAP, AMC and various service & learning activities. He also encouraged the students to keep up the good work and continue to make more progress.

Mr. Liu, the Principal of the Elementary & Middle schools, expressed his hopes for the students in the upcoming semester. Most importantly, they should be independent learners. At last, he said that we should all work hard and succeed.

Towards the end of the ceremony, awards were given out to star classes, and students who got the good or excellent scholarships, and everyone looked forward to a great semester in which students competed for good grades.
