Grade 6: Lupin Foster Home Lecture

On December 29th, I went to listen to a lecture about the Lupin Foster Home. Lupin Foster Home is a organization that was made for helping sick kids that were abandoned by their parents.

Last year, when I listened to the lecture, the organization said that they helped a large number of children. I felt very honored because I was one of the participants that contributed to helping the abandoned sick kids last year.

This year, Lupin Foster Home used the money our school donated from the charity fair and concert to help a kid called Lucas. Lucas is a boy who has an esophagus that is very thin. Usually our esophagus is able to swallow things normally, but for Lucas it is hard to swallow food. It’s even hard for him to drink water. The water is even dripping through his esophagus. So they used all of the money we gave them this time to help Lucas's illness. I feel honored to have contributed to a kid in need.

I hope that Lupin Foster Home will help more kids. I can't wait to be one of the people who help them again!
