Grade 6: Amazing Art Festival
Grade 6: Amazing Art Festival
On December 22nd, the fifth and sixth grade attended the Art Festival. Many students waited for this day to come. The teachers led the students into the big auditorium and waited for the show to begin. When the lights darkened, students began to be quiet. The host came out from backstage, and when the curtain went up, the beautiful music started. The Art Festival was started by a piano performance.
Afterwards, students put on many different types of performances. The fifth graders performed national dances and song played by harmonicas; the sixth graders performed pop dance and a song played by bamboo flutes. They tried their best to present everything they have learned in nearly a semester. When they had finished their preformace, there were screams and claps. The whole auditorium was filled with excitement.
Solo performance is also a part of the Art Festival that cannot be forgotten. The performance from Cynthia 6(3), Raymond Li 6(10), Amberly 5(6), and Erika 5(2) were extremely wonderful. They faced the whole fifth and sixth grade with courage, and brought a wonderful performance to us. A crowd favorite was when Erika sang her song “Sit Still, Look Pretty.” The students, teachers, and parents in the audience clapped for her cheerfully.
Last but not least, the teachers performed the amazing dance they rehearsed to ”Thriller.” The Art Festival ended with this joyful performance. Students went home with their spirits high and enjoyed the Christmas holiday. Thanks to all students and teachers that gave us a great Art Festival.
