Grade 11: Student activity in Business Management class

In business management class on Dec.20th, Grade 11 students did a role-play activity. The main topic of the class was understanding different leadership types in different organizations. After the teacher presented the general, theoretic knowledge, students were asked to complete an activity. In order for students to better understand the knowledge taught in class, students were asked to mock different leadership types in groups under different situations set by the teacher. For example, under autocratic leadership, one student represented the finance manager, while another student was an employee of the marketing department.

The students mocked when an employee wanted to increase the budget, while the manager was reluctant. The employee argued for the budget issue and they tried to arrive at a solution. This activity was aimed to help students understand how to communicate under different types of leadership in an organization. Through the class activity, by applying real-life situations, students could truly put what they have learned in class into practical use.
