SHSID High School Second "Grass Cup" Forum

On the morning of Dec.23, SHSID High School held the second "Grass Cup" Forum in the hall at Xianmian Building. The forum aims to promote academic communication between high school teachers and to provide a platform for them to present Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Workshop research results.

The forum was divided into two parts chaired by Ma Feng, SHSID High School Principal. In the first part of the forum, by telling his teaching case, Mr. Ma stressed the importance of humanistic care for students and the necessity of attention to their individual growth experience. In the meeting, Liu Min, Director of Grade 9-10 and Liu Qin, Director of Grade 11-12 also shared their teaching experience and their opinions about how to carry out effective teaching activities and the round table learning. Besides, Ms. Jiang Hao, the Coordinator of IB&AP introduced high school curriculum changes in this semester, and put forward several ideas on the future curriculum development.

In the second part of this forum, several teachers presented their ideas on formative assessment, the student files management, the effective way to establish communication between family and school, the extracurricular resources management, the round table learning method, 4C teaching theory and other issues.

The forum enables teachers to have a clearer understanding of the next step teaching direction.
