8th Grade Service Learning Projects Presentation
8th Grade Service Learning Projects Presentation
In the afternoon of December 22, 2016, the entire grade 8 gathered in the Xian Mian Tang auditorium to attend an outstanding service learning presentation.
First, Mr. Shen gave a speech summarizing and commenting on service learning this semester. He spoke of how our programs, like poster group, news group, C.E.S.T., photography, tutoring, and so on, are affluent and interesting. One thing to note is students volunteered at the first Degas art gallery in Shanghai. This shows that our service learning is not only limited to within the school, but also outside of campus, which is a great success.
After attending service learning, students gained experience, broadened knowledge, and improved communication skills with other people.
Next, various representatives from each service learning group made speeches. The comment feedback is that they learned much outside of school, in addition to releasing pressure from their studies. Some students made their own service learning groups, which shows great initiative.
This semester’s service learning is about to end, but students will definitely have a positive attitude toward service learning in future sessions.
