A Christmas Mini Concert by 8th Grade “Music for Patients” Group in Renji Hospital

On December 23rd, 8th grade "Music for Patients" service and learning group held a Christmas Mini Concert in the Outpatient Hall of Renji Hospital, Pudong.

Carrying violins, cellos, flutes, and music sheets, the student volunteers’ gathered around a grand piano on the first floor, preparing to perform. To coincide with the holiday atmosphere, and to perform the more beautiful melodies for the audience, all members had worked very hard to prepare several new masterpieces. The music attracted a large crowd of people who animatedly took videos and photos.

This activity received full support from teachers in SHSID. Mr. Liu (principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School), Mr. Ni (director of SHSID Middle School), Mr. Shen(Head Teacher of SHSID 8th grade), and Ms. Liu(Homeroom Teacher of SHSID Middle School 8(2)), all attended the concert to show their appreciation.

As a grand finale, all the performers went up onstage wearing red Santa hats as they sang two Christmas carols: Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. When the songs ended, the crowd applauded and cheered energetically as the performers went offstage.

Overall, this event was extremely successful. The students of SHSID experienced their very own musical concert and used their talents to bring happiness to the patients along the way.
