Grades 9-10: Giving Tree

On November 22nd, 2016, SHSID grades 9 and 10 students attend the donation ceremony of Giving Tree in the school of migrant workers’ children in Shanghai. In the past few weeks, the students had received many wish lists from the children, and tried their best to accomplish the wish lists by purchasing clothes, books, stationeries and toys, and put these gifts into red Giving Tree bags.

Through the hard work from these benevolent students, both grades collected 80 bags in total. On a freezing cold morning on the 22nd, about 50 students and teachers from both grades went to the school set off with bags of gifts, being ready to present them.

During the donation ceremony, Director Liu of SHSID and the school leaders delivered their speech, and then bags were given out to each child. It was a pleasure to see them laughing and smiling when opening their gifts. We sincerely hope that these gifts will help these beloved children both in the upcoming winter and in their daily lives.
