Puxi Grade 4: Story Mom

On November 24th, our story moms came to our classrooms with a touching true story. After the Second World War, many European countries suffered from a shortage of living supplies. America was one of the countries which stepped in to help. An American girl named Rossi sent some living goods to a Dutch girl and they got to know each other by letters. As time went on, Rossi collected more and more clothes or food to help her friend. When spring came, her friend sent many tulip seeds to her in return. Nowadays, we can still see plenty of beautiful tulips in American towns. Fourth graders were deeply touched by this story and they began to understand that love knows no borders.
