Grade 6: Company Visit-Want Want Factory

On Thursday, November 17th, 2016, the students of classes 6(4), 6(5) and 6(8) went to visit the Want Want factory.

After a long ride on the bus, we all successfully reached our destination. First we watched an introduction of the Want Want company. The video showed that beside rice crackers, drinks, and snacks, the Want Want Group also has other projects, such as a hospital, for example.

Then students were lead into the factory. We had to wear shoe covers, masks, and special clothing to go in, to comply with hygiene rules. Next, we went into a sterilizing room. Right after, we went to see the production of QQ candies.

There was a big machine in the center of the room. We saw cola-shaped QQ candies on the belt coming out of what looks like to be a shaping machine. Then it fell on the next belt where the unit per package has been arranged. Now comes the interesting part: the candies dropped portion by portion into the packaging machine. At last, packs of QQ candy came out. They were so caring that they even prepared snacks for us.

After we took a class photo, each of us got a pack of snacks. We then took the same route back out. It was really a fun trip to the Want Want factory!
